Agitka Font

3 Feb

As a font designer for such films as Mission Impossible, Ninja Assassin and Speed Racer, Henning Brehm delivers signage with a whip-sharp eye for precision. His latest font, Agitka, is a gorgeous Cyrillic-inspired (and including) alphabet lifted straight from Soviet Union-era propaganda posters. Add to that some practical usage in the flick Bourne Ultimatum for which Brehm provided tubular neon versions of the font for a scene at a Russian supermarket – and you have one very fun special feature: aside from the standard light, bold and black, Agitka comes in “neon” as well. Layer neons over a regular typeface for a dazzling embossed-letter effect.
